HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's best-known park. Its fame is due to its tremendous diversity and large numbers of wildlife and birdlife. It is situated only about 120km south from Victoria Falls and is an excellent game viewing area. This area is one of the few remaining in southern Africa that is still home to the Big Five.
Zimbabwe is unique amongst southern African countries in allowing walking safaris, guided by highly skilled guides, in its national parks and Hwange is one of the best destinations in Africa in which to participate in a walking safari. These are conducted in a dedicated 400 km2 walking area that is also an intensively protected Rhino sanctuary.

MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK & KARIBA DAM BY HOUSEBOAT
The 300 km long Kariba Dam is the 3rd largest man-made reservoir in the world and was created by damming the mighty Zambezi River at the Kariva Rapids. Today the dam is one of Zimbabwe's premier recreational areas. The dam provides excellent fishing opportunities and is fringed by wilderness areas.
The southern shore includes the remote Matusadona National Park. Access to Matusadona by road is difficult and tedious so the park is not heavily utilized. It is however an exceptional park for game viewing and it boasts the second highest lion concentration in Africa and some of the last free-roaming Black Rhino. Since the animals find quality grazing and adequate water on the shores of the lake, the game viewing is spectacular.
Our safaris visit Matusadona by houseboat, which is essentially a floating private hotel. This gives you the opportunity to relax on deck with a drink, soak up the sun and tranquility or to go fishing, bird watching or game viewing by tender boat.

MATOBO HILLS NATIONAL PARK
The Matobos, a unique wilderness area, is situated 50km south of Bulawayo. Its most conspicuous feature is the enormous boulders forming natural balancing sculptures and magnificent golden rock formations. This refuge of caves, overhangs and haunting beauty is 43,000 Ha in area and offers excellent game viewing with superb game walks. The caves contain some of the finest rock art to be seen anywhere in southern Africa as well as historically important archaeological artifacts. It has the highest concentration of Black Eagles in southern Africa and reputedly the densest population of leopards. It is also one of Zimbabwes Intensive Protection Zones for the endangered Black Rhino as well as being home to a healthy White Rhino
